The fact that this argument has to be based in a world where Trump has the power to repeal an amendment on the constitution is breaking me. As you said, if we're at that point, focusing on elections will be a waste of time.

Good points in reply, but I'd also add that the only other Dem in the recall with any funding was a real estate youtuber (Kevin Paffrath) that was running to the right of Newsom.

Also, I think a lot of Dems learned the worst message from this due to the cop riot being led by Rudy Guiliani, who made Dinkins a one term mayor.

I feel like David Dinkins was the last Dem Mayor to go hard on this. He got a civilian oversight board, but also a full tilt cop riot.

Also my way of saying that if Democrats continue to insist upon 2000s Era Decorum, that should be the ultimate sign that they have no interest or desire to take any of this seriously.
