I know it's a trope but home repair projects often go away in strange ways. It's taken a lot more time, effort and learning than I ever expected to have to go through but we almost have the kitchen ceiling done.
I can't wait to finally paint and put the light fixtures up tomorrow ;-;

I can honestly say I've touched every inch of my kitchen ceiling at this point. Scraped off the old texture and peeled off a bunch of stuck paper.
