my first attempt at spinning #yak has gone well so far. i plied three high-twist singles together for a rounded and insanely soft yarn of 74m/30g. How does one go about finishing the skein, though? warm soapy soak? what does yak want? #handspinning #phang (by Regenbogenwolle) #supportedspindles

First time following the #ShowMeYourKnits prompt after a month of silence 🙈🧶 So here’s my current #WorkinProgress, the #nightbook sweater by unwind knitwear (Rachel Illsley), in progress knit with #LopiEinband on 3mm n. and finished underneath in #jamieson&smith2ply. highly recommend the pattern :)

Current hyperfocus: To improve my drafting technique & because they look fancy, I bought a ring distaff from Drechslerei Mewes in Leipzig last weekend. Bit of a learning curve but i think i have overcome the awkwardness in holding the distaff 🤓🧶. #handspinning #claspedspindle #distaff #Bergschaf

Also, ich habs ja verstanden: AfD-Wähler wollen einfach nur, dass es anderen schlechter geht - Einkommensschwachen, Frauen, Migranten, Menschen mit Behinderung, Kindern. Es ist nicht sehr komplex, diskutier ich heut nicht mehr drüber. Aber welche Person mit mehr als 5% Menschenkenntnis, minimaler Lebenserfahrung außerhalb der eigenen Bubble und Einzwei Minuten Nachrichtenkonsum pro Woche guckt sich denn ERNSTHAFT Friedrich Merz an - besonders diesen neurologischen Pogostick der letzten vier Wochen - und sagt voller Überzeugung: "Top, dieses Briloner Bierschinkengesicht führt unser Land ganz sicher wieder zusammen und navigiert uns durch unsichere Krisenzeiten."? it feels weird to post fiber things when the world is held hostage by fascists, but here’s a celebration of color and tools old and new. 100% Merino top by TagewerkDesign, spindles are vintage Bulgarian & Romanian, locally remade Bulgarian-style spindles & a Hummel Turkish & Locke silk spindle. 🌈🧶
