PSA: Ombudsperson offices are the flytraps of institutions. They look like a place for help when the system misbehaves but really, they'll just trap you in endless steps and forms that lead nowhere. Then, like the fly on the glue tape, you’ll end up stuck and exhausted.

I don’t consider myself neurodivergent (others might disagree). But people I love are getting fucked up right now, and I’m sick with anger. If you see exclusion or harassment, don’t be that jerk. Speak up. Even a kind word can make a world of difference.

It often looks like this: someone diverges a little from the norm, and some jerk feels “insulted” or wronged then blows all their fucking fuses. They exclude, bully, retaliate. You can’t imagine the level of social & institutional violence they unleash.

Many neurodivergent folks have subtle “divergent” traits. They don’t act how society expects, but it’s not obvious. And jerks really, really can’t stand “different.” They can’t fucking live with it. And those jerks are far more common than you think. For real.

The Tylenol hate is everywhere so I gotta say it loud & proud: Tylenol is a solid pain medication. Lots of people can’t take NSAIDs for lots of reasons (it may someday be you, too!). As one of them & as a palliative/pain doc, I can vouch for its efficacy! And don’t forget fever!
