Two days after #NationalDemocracyDay, the UK rolls out the red carpet for Trump.

A billionaire built on misogyny, division and privilege. His presence in power silences women and rewards inequality.

We won’t stand for it.

This week we sent a message to the UK Government in review of parental leave and pay...

Mothers are losing out, families are missing time and our economy is paying the price.

🕰️ It’s time to revolutionise parental leave for all.

Mums still carry the back to school mental load, from uniforms, school lunches, planning, forms, admin, emotional support and much more.

We know this drives the gender pay gap.

✊ It’s time to revolutionise work - to value care, close the gap + rewrite the rules on equality.

We saw endometriosis awareness posters, a designated breastfeeding area for any mother who prefers her own space, and brilliant players who were once told football was not for them.

On Sunday, Lewes won their pre season match 7–0. Off the pitch, the same energy and commitment is driving change across every part of the club.

We went to Lewes FC to see what football looks like when it is done equally. Penny East, our CEO, joined the only UK club to pay male and female players the same.

Misogyny is shaping how young people see relationships, sex, and each other.

Sex education must tackle it head-on. We support age-appropriate, evidence-based guidance.

Big wins for women at work: Gov to ban NDAs silencing harassment + offer leave for pregnancy loss before 24w.

But the fight’s not over. We need a duty to advertise flexible work, key to closing the gender pay gap.

Let’s keep up the pressure. #EmploymentRights #Feminism

📢 It’s time to rewrite the rules on equality law.

Fawcett Society submitted evidence to the Office for Equality and Opportunity and the message is clear: women are still facing systemic barriers in pay, safety, and the workplace.

The #SpendingReview missed key opportunities.

⚖️Women’s economic empowerment must be central to growth.

No welfare reversal or boost to care & rights.

Social housing welcome, but must come with care, welfare & local gov funding.

Marginalised women still left behind.

With no announcements reversing the government's welfare cuts disabled people, particularly disabled women and mothers are left at the sharp end

Our reaction: The dial still hasn’t shifted for disabled women, WASPI women and low-income women following today’s spending review

The additional funding for the #NHS is welcome and much needed for our health & the health of the economy. Women use NHS services more than men and also make up the majority of its workforce, so underfunding has disproportionately impacted them. Disappointing not to hear investments in #SocialCare

The decision to cut foreign aid to fund #Defence remains deeply disappointing. #ForeignAid is an important defence against conflicts, which are exacerbated by the effects of poverty, inequality and lack of resources. Women and girls will be disproportionately impacted by the cuts to aid.
