Yess, I started writing magictech stories this year, and to my surprise sold one as well. Shamans with chips, spaceships with cogs, terrain-crawlers burning nectar in a cauldron for fuel. FF8 was very much on my mind.

Keep going, the HQ will expand with new characters, stories, it's the best part. It progresses whether you fail
or succeed, you get stronger either way. At one point I did 10 minute runs. At one point I kept deliberately dying right after leaving to see new stuff.

Might and Magic VII (even though I prefer VI) is a raw masterpiece, a haunting and eerie autumn adventure with smart content gating, the tension & friction is always there, all designers could learn a thing or two from it, yet not even its genre exists anymore, it's maddening.

I love how Elric has become a sort of shibboleth among fantasy artists and sword & sorcery fans
