Yes! Sometimes it just doesn't let me upload a new file? Then I give up and try again another day.

We use redcap! It’s not perfect, but I think we have a decent working system. Maybe let’s zoom about it so I can explain the process?

The new #NSF #GRFP application now excludes 1000’s of students, including those who were told they could apply this year, or who planned to apply next year.

We have a new specific petition urging #NSFGRFP undo this harmful action. If you are impacted sign here: laurenkuehne.github.io/grfpChanges/

We want to record a set of stimuli featuring children, thoughts on how to do this so they can be shared/reused? Does a parental release like for data sharing on e.g. Databrary suffice? Do you situate it inside a "task" so the consent process is clearer? #devscisky #psychsky

Just sent this as an email to my department but figured I'd share more broadly in case it is useful. This describes the procedure happening now for science funding in Congress (@davidimiller.bsky.social can correct me if I got this wrong). Importantly, there are still actions that can be taken.

=====Written July 11 2025====== Hi all, Just wanted to share some information that is likely relevant to a lot of us, but not always easy to understand, about federal science budget procedure (feel f...

Tenure clock extensions are a great deal for the institution. Not so much for the faculty member
neuroamyo.bsky.social
I'm already hearing rumblings from academic leaders that tenure clock extensions may be part of how early career researchers weather this new storm.

A reminder that clock extensions are not the easy solution some think them to be: www.pnas.org/doi/10.1073/...

We must do better by junior faculty.

AI models are fascinating, impressive, and sometimes problematic. But what can they tell us about the human mind?

In a new review paper, @noahdgoodman.bsky.social and I discuss how modern AI can be used for cognitive modeling: osf.io/preprints/ps...
Figure 1. A schematic depiction of a model-mechanism mapping between a human learning system (left side) and a cognitive model (right side). Candidate model mechanism mappings are pictured as mapping between representations but also can be in terms of input data, architecture, or learning objective. Figure 2.
