My kid has been watching YouTubes of a guy engineering different machines and showing his entire iteration process. It’s so cool and even if this is just a joy for my son and it didn’t become his career or whatever, I love that it holds his attention regardless.

Ahh one of my people lol. My house was a tv on all the time, though. I just didn’t like what was on and pirated checking it mentally instead. That ability has paid off so well with having kids, I just stop hearing the noise I can’t explain it better than that lol.
The most important skill that I’ve developed is knowing a lot of popular movie references without ever actually seeing the movies. Occasionally my bf will make one and I will acknowledge it appropriately and he’ll be like “you’ve seen that??” and like no of course not

I recently ate at a restaurant where they call your name. They called a very confused “Dennis?” 😑 I will change my name just to never have this happen. It’s not the kind of misgendering I enjoy.
