I used to object to putting the tree up before Dec. 1 (if it were solely up to me, we'd put it up around Dec. 15 or later). That worked when the kids were little, but now they're all above driving age and don't need my help putting up the tree, and that's why this happened today.

Viagra Boys put on a heck of a show in Seattle last night. The Showbox SoDo was more packed than any other club-hosted concert I've ever been to, and it was hot in there. But it was also oh so fun as my 18-y.o. experienced his first rock concert seeing a band we BOTH really like!

In more trivial news, I got a QSL card via the old-fashioned mail today confirming I heard the HAARP broadcasts from Alaska many months ago. Conspiracy buffs may know HAARP as the facility that allegedly can change the planet's weather (it can't).

Our youngest kid started 11th grade today. She has only one daily class, band, until her Running Start classes at Everett Community College begin late this month. Still, we insisted on a first-day-of-school photo.
