Today we announced the shut down of our media tech company Avenida Entertainment Group. The lack of funding for Latino founders, the state of the industry, and lastly, the anti DEI atmosphere made it impossible to continue. The Latino community lost a platform today. I’m so proud of what we built

Aspiration is the answer. Not just “we’re not the bad guys.”

We need something more meaningful than that. I want a future worth fighting for. They have no vision. We do. Lean into our strengths and knock them out. 👊🏽

I have dedicated my entire professional life to transforming stereotypes in TV and film and elevating under-represented voices in media. This work is necessary to close the huge gap in representation. How do I continue if brands and investors are worried about DEI? Other DEI activist on here?

Is it worth 20 MINS a day to proactively recruit and bring your friends, neighbors, relatives, businesses, anyone who is or could be a user, to @bsky.app?

If Bluesky ends up with more users than the others, you destabilize musk, zuck, trump.
