Image 1 is the new version of the pattern generator I built this afternoon, but I've disliked that it uses a For Each Element Zone, and it felt slow. The zone was clocking 4.5 ms to execute. Redid it entirely as a single Set Position op and it's now 0.65 ms.

OMG i olmos forgot. I left on the old boolean solver, Exact, which is.... fine. You can see how slow it is here as I move the cutter around. Then we switch to Manifold, and it's muuuuch faster. And better results. Use the Manifold solver!

If you wanna get extra fancy on it, you can go back to the original text object and add a Remesh, set to Sharp, resolution of 7 or 8, and uncheck Remove Disconnected or whatever it's called. Now, you've got a nice quad meshed version can deform as you like.

Just randomly decided to put together a chart that shows the mathematical equivalents of all of the Gradient nodes' modes. It's one of the very basic nodes that I learned really early, and I haven't touched it in years because it's less direct most of the time.

Just put together a little gravity sim in Blender (as one does) and I'm tossing configurations into it. I love the little braided spirals that come out.

I've had this pattern in my head for a while, and I'm sure I've seen its like before, but I couldn't really describe it or reproduce it. I have in mind a coat I'd like to have made, with this in the lining.

It'll go with my mask.
