Last night's experiment in my rice cooker was an unqualified failure. I screwed up the liquid content, had to keep adding more water and cooking longer, and ended up with horrible ruined rice that tasted awful. But hey, at least there was a lot of it.

My system powered down completely earlier while rendering, which says overheat, so I did a teardown and pretty thoroughly cleared out all my fans, heatsinks, and filters. They were quite full of my very fluffy cat.

It's one of the core things I've worked on since I started with procedural graphics. My method centers on what I usually call the TimeFactor, which spits out a 0-1 value from the first to last frame of the animation.

Thanks for the question! Texture painting isn't one of my core strengths in Blender, so frankly, I had to spin up the program and refresh myself pretty quick. BUT I do have some tips, and the first is TEXTURE! Just applying something nice and grungy as a mask makes a huge difference.
