Also, most rookies with needles will just tie the tourniquet around your arm at a right angle. If you tie it diagonally, it will pull the skin (and underlying tissues) tight, again, taking the slack out of the vein and giving it less room to roll.

I sometimes go to metal shows, visit the merch table, think about getting a shirt... and worry that one of my nice elderly patients might see me away from work, in a restaurant or grocery store, and then wonder who Deicide are, and what deicide is.
