Brighton’s only calendar made in the sea!

The 2026 edition of my ‘Sea Views’ calendar arrived yesterday and very lovely it is too. 14 pictures taken during year round sea swims, a tide table, and free salty sea air with every one.

The cover of the 2026 Brighton sea views calendar. A picture of the west pier as seen from the sea, the camera is half above and half below the waterline. A grid of twelve pictures included in the 2026 Brighton sea views calendar. All views of the city, the beach, the starlings and the piers as seen from the point of view of a sea swimmer. The May page from the calendar. A picture of the city skyline and beach between the piers on a busy day. The January page from the calendar. A moment from Brightons starling murmuration, a huge cloud of birds swooping away from the Palace pier.

Also - some freebies!

Every calendar order gets one of my new ‘Swim Area’ fridge magnets and a set of Sea Views postcards thrown in for free.
A collection of small yellow fridge magnets, which look exactly (well, pretty accurate I think) like a swim area marker buoy. Three postcards. A6, with a different picture on each. One is a starling murmuration, one is a swim area buoy and one is the west pier.

A new 'Woodwork' print for the gallery this weekend.

Hard to show all the detail of a big picture on a small screen, but perhaps this gives some sense of it.

Truleigh Hill, or thereabouts. South Downs National Park, West Sussex.
Fog blanketing the landscape in pre dawn light. Three communication masts are the only things visible above the fog.

A wonderful arrival this morning. You can almost smell the air of the South Downs woodlands.

Thanks. Not long after sunrise. First warmth of the day hitting damp trees.

Walking back to my car in a supermarket carpark. Watched a car slowly pulling out of a spot without his lights on, tried to catch the drivers eye to let him know, but instead watched him gently drive into my car then whizz off. In the nicest possible way, I hope he hits a tree.

Autumn wins you best by this its mute appeal to sympathy for its decay.

End of Terra…

Birling Gap, East Sussex.
A photograph of one of the last remaining cottages on the cliff tops at Birling Gap, as seen from the sea below. The cottage is the only thing visible above the waterline.
