if I had a nickel for every time in my <3 years tattooing I've been hired with fully agreed upon accessibility/accomodation needs only for the studio owner to ubruptly end said accomodations (and paint me as the aggressor should I ever mention it) I would have 2 nickels.

It would've been nice to see all of this outrage over public health last year when the CDC chose against recommending N95 masks in healthcare settings, or when major cities started banning masks, or when the NIH completely bungled Long Covid research funding.

It's been a terrible week for public health, but we have to remember how the last administration paved the way for this with their own misinformation campaigns. Nothing will ever change if we don't see the full context:

Bird flu is going to become a problem regardless of whether it gets called a "pandemic," and it's going to lead to the same need for mitigations we've been talking about for five years now. But society is moving in the opposite direction.
