Helping managers with real-world tips and tools. Because no one figures out leadership alone.
18%?

California accounts for about 15-18% of US R&D. The US accounts for roughly a quarter of global R&D. Multiply those together, and you get closer to 4-5% of the world.

And honestly, 4-5% of all global R&D coming from one state is already insane... no need for the extra math.

As of 2024, California still leads with 57 Fortune 500 headquarters.

But from 2018 to 2023, the state lost 8 Fortune 500 companies, and 7 of those moved to Texas. Giving Texas 52.

As a leader, you need to watch current trends and prepare California for the next 100 years.

Saying that, I am honestly not sure adding more screen time is always the right answer. Some early research suggests that students who rely on AI constantly might weaken their own critical thinking skills. That is also part of what I am thinking about.

I read that the average tutor costs between $25-$50 per hour. If a student receives one to two hours of tutoring each week, that's $100 to $400 per month. That cost simply isn’t feasible for many families. In comparison, a $15-per-month AI tutor could provide at least some level of support.

I completely agree that human educators will always be the gold standard!!!! 🏆

A great teacher/tutor brings nuance, empathy, and intuition that technology can't match. My point is more about access for those who do not have the resources for a tutor.

Multiple studies have shown that tutoring is one of the most effective ways to improve learning outcomes. The problem is, it’s expensive and out of reach for most students. The real question is whether AI tutors can deliver that same level of personalized support 🤷‍♂️

I love this idea!

This seems hard to believe.

Some people are naturally good at interviewing, while others aren't. It's up to a leader to either try to bring out the best in the interviewer or to understand what is truly happening.

If you’re a leader, metric-chasing won’t cut it. The highest return comes from mapping people to the right place. That’s how you build loyalty, performance, and long careers.

Great managers act as talent architects, guiding career moves, aligning tasks with skills, and advocating for internal mobility. It’s not forcing paths, it’s helping people move toward where they thrive.
