That last painting was a failure but I’m not throwing it away. I’m moving on to finally starting a collaborative piece which is the first one in a full gallery show that is going to happen sometime in the nearish distant future with me and a friend. I finally put the first makings on the wood…

This is the painting I’m currently working on. It’s definitely a change of pace, and I keep going back and forth on how I feel about it. I think I’ll have the background match the palette of the figure so the painting more closely resembles the sketch it’s based on, and there’s more linework to add

I’m working on the second piece in this new color pastel series. Struggling a bit with it, as the first one set a high bar that I’m having trouble reaching. I actually started another one on the back of this canvas, which I abandoned and flipped over to start this. It’s coming though just need faith

Here is excavation 1 and 2. I still favor these first two, I think they are the best ones. I’m excited about the new series I’m working on, the first one is finished and I’m going to photograph it soon. #abstractart #automaticdrawing

Now that the excavation series is finished, I wanted to show them all together. Bluesky only lets you post 4 pictures at a time, so here are excavations 3-5. Each one is charcoal, graphite and India ink on raw canvas, 24”x28”. #abstractart #automaticdrawing

I started the first piece in a new series where I use use a soaking wet paint brush to smear colored chalk pastels on raw canvas, and then a pencil and India ink to emphasize the form and dimension of the automatic chaos structures imploding my mind palace. #drawing #abstractart #chalkpastel #art
