i was once on a very long walk in 2017 and was reading news on my phone. i looked up to see that a group of goats had gathered and were now following me. they ended up harassing me for a mile.

I’m confused. I thought Apple had to remove ICEBlock from the App Store because reporting public police activity could be dangerous. But in Maps, you can report a speed check. Wait a second… I’m starting to think maybe that wasn’t done in good faith.

We went with a Kia EV9 (four kids) and I’m at about $10-11 for 300-310 miles if I use the charger at the university. This is my favorite vehicle I’ve ever owned. The lack of maintenance costs has been awesome. Are you enjoying the Ioniq?

I was able to get both at a neighborhood Walmart a couple of weeks ago. I had to sign a form saying I met the criteria based on pre-existing conditions. No one asked me anything. If it comes down to that, just be liberal in your interpretations if need be.

our federal workers are members of different parties. they go to work, often for much less than in private industry, to serve their country w/a diverse set of skills and talents. they may be starting out, raising families, or preparing for retirement. and, unlike shit-stain mcgee, they do their jobs

Johnson: "It's true that in previous shutdowns, many or most furloughed employees have been paid for the time they were furloughed, but there is new legal analysis - I don't know the details, I just saw a headline - but there are some legal analysts saying that might not be appropriate or necessary"

therapy. tell bullies to fuck off. your employer is not a family—go find yours in whatever form it comes. usually, the amount of appreciation gained from working late or on the weekend won’t match the disappointment from yourself or others about what you missed. be kind. tell people you love them.

Kinda wild Apple will kick ICEBlock out of the App Store on safety grounds but the Saudi government app that lets men track women (their “property”) and control their travel is fully allowed even after the Human Rights Watch AND members of the Senate begged them to ban it.

Off-topic, but I really like this image. Did you use a particular app to make the nice presentation? Or is it just a screen grab of your ide?

I should've been more precise. I meant along the lines of what is discussed in the article—that internet, electricity, etc. should be municipally owned. At least then, the people largely in charge of pricing are accountable to voters. I think necessities should be a public service, not profit maker.

Everybody hates their cable company. Blasting local cable and phone monopolies for ripping off the public would be a messaging slam dunk for Democrats. As would bold, loud support for community-owned broadband networks.

But there's too many Manchin types captured by corporate cash.

internet should be a public utility. at least where i’m at, cox has a quasi-monopoly. if i’m unhappy with their service, there is little recourse to go elsewhere. and our state regulators are happy to let companies get rich bilking customers with hand-wavy increases to their utility bills.
