This infantilisation & othering is constant: when they keep implying PIP is an out of work benefit, take away your ESA if you live with a partner but not a parent, talk about us like we couldn’t possibly be listening, etc etc. They are serious grown-ups, we are over-indulged ungrateful brats.
from “of course i couldn’t survive on benefits, i have a mortgage to pay,” to “what if i took my child’s pocket money away” there’s a concerted ideological push from Labour to imply those unable to work due to disability are not fully-formed members of society and it’s disgusting
