I wanted to let everyone know that I have decided to run as the Democratic candidate for Virginia House Delegate in District 63 in this year's November election. I hope this news can be a silver lining to the dark cloud we are currently stuck in. A Voice for Virginians!

I lost my job at the National Science Foundation yesterday, along with 167 of my colleagues, including some dear friends. This was the best job I've ever had, and I thought it would be my last. The PI community has been sympathetic and supportive, without exception. I will miss working for you.

I presented an amendment to protect student loan forgiveness for public servants—including teachers, firefighters, and nurses—from cuts. These are the benefits they were promised, and Congress should keep its word. Republicans blocked it.
Next, I pushed for an amendment to make permanent a tax fix that helps make health care more affordable for 5 million Americans. Republicans blocked it.

USAID’s website has been deleted, all that is left is a note saying all personnel are now on administrative leave and personnel outside the US are to be brought home. Completely illegal, no act of congress or even executive order was signed to dismantle the agency
