Cold branding is a thing that'd be an option. Its used on farm animals to permanently make parts of their fur grow in white. It's considered way more humane and lower risk than hot branding. Just it doesn't work if your fur is already light/white.

I figure when a company for years is like do more with less, cutting pay/bonuses and still expecting similar level of performance while also telling everyone we are going to continue to destroy more of your careers in the name of more profits...yeah that'd be why.

Still have my job but with the mass email of "we are going to continue these efforts in 2026" the message I get is hey congrats on not getting culled this time, but we are gonna be doing even more next year.
