Sometimes I hate I'm prone to auditory overstim and sound essentially is hardwired to anxiety and other issues. Its frustrating as all hell when I'm otherwise having a good time. Even a pub setting becomes too much after a bit.

It's like movies at the symphony but cartoons. The orchestra dubs the music.

Time for some Looney Toons at the symphony :3333

Things I've been told that have done the most psychic damage (in a good way)

1. You're therian coded af -> big "oh" months later.
2. You're just realizing your autistic?
3. More recenetly my boyfriend being able to read my mind when I'm about to ask "what's that noise?"

It doesn't have that effect, it's targeted at just phsycial stuff and the body's flight/fight response. It won't directly help psychological anxiety. Though I was told for some not having the physical aspects makes the psychological aspects easier to self manage.

Propranolol is the specific one. In low doses it cuts down/off the body's physical flight or fight response, and more generally tempers down phsycial anxiety symptoms which I get super easily even if I'm not mentally anxious.

So now at least I've a choice on a day to day basis I can make of being more present and enjoying things, but volume of everything is nearly always too high, or not be as present but then also not get as easily overloaded by everything.

One of the net good things that came after medical leave was finding a medication that essentially cuts off the physical symptoms of anxiety (which I get near constantly from sound and noise to varying degrees) but well, theres no cure for how overstim affects me in every other way :|

New day to day question I get to deal with 1) Do I take anti-panic attack medication so Im more present/less disassociated, but then get sensory exhausted way more easily, or 2) Not take, not be as present/more disassociated but then not suffer as much from overstim and noise?

Well almost two months off work for FMLA coming to an end. Mostly good came of it. I wish I could have done some more projects at home or time with friends but I did get some of each of those, and more so net good.

Gonna enjoy the last few days as best I can.

And a job that doesn't make you feel like The sword of Damocles is over your head with performance reviews all the time.

I go back to work next week after about a total of 7 weeks of FMLA. Not looking forward to it. The break is making me wonder more and more how I managed to stay in big stressful tech for 12 years. Might seek out a new job anyways soon here that isnt always under the looming threat of layoffs.

My furry community headcanon is all multi-species furries eventually realize or come to terms with the fact they're a shapeshifter and/or coyote. It just takes a varying amount of time.

My second headcanon is all Furry radiation is therianizing radiation.
