No way! Wow. Can confirm it made it as at least as far as Andrew Stewart Halls in my days. 😆

No, no, that sounds cool. At Stirling we had Air3 Radio, and a couple of my pals did shows just like that. I remember *texting in* and hearing it on the *actual radio*! It was a hoot. I regret not getting involved (but probably for the best as I’d’ve likely been broadcasting .tap files to no one!)

Hahahah, that’s a belter right enough. What sort of show was it?

Maybe it’s just caffeine addiction talking but I’ve come to realise that something about the ritual of it appeals to me too. Whether it’s loose leaf, a proper pot or a builder’s brew dunky bag in a mug. It’s also 3 minutes away from staring at a computer screen too!

I always found Lapsang to be A Bit Much to be honest! But I'd be sad if it went away completely. Next time I have a smokey brew I'll raise a cup for your granny 😁 My grandfather loved a beef tea but I have absolutely NO nostalgia for that!

My fave blend is Russian Caravan which (I learned today only some and not all) include a bit of Lapsang, and you just reminded me I've run out! Lately I've noticed Whittard's is always "out of stock" and now I'm guessing that's maybe not unrelated. I've ordered from Steenberg's (they have L.S. too!)

Ooh yeah, that’s actually closer to what I remember, maybe that was it! I do remember immediately missing the thumb wheel after upgrading. Going back to a directional cursor seems so clunky in comparison, and a touch screen doesn’t have the tactile feedback. It was peak UX!

Of all the technologies subsumed by the fondleslab, I still lament the demise of the jog wheel.

One of Matt’s SAM HDMI units, they’re great!

On a bit of a whim I got myself one of the Raspberry Pi monitors for transient computing setups (I was in the official Pi Shop anyway so it would have been rude not to!) No doubt there are better options, but it has enabled me to do more Retro, especially handy over Xmas. Great with SAM, Speccy, etc

Dunn dah dah lun dah dah lun dah dah lun … Bonanza! 🤠

I’ve still got a few of my dad’s old Bert Kaempfert tapes, and better yet only some of them were recorded-over with Spectrum programs! 😆

Hahaha. It’s actually a “mini” mince pie. But! It is a very big book. 😆
