It's snowing in Berlin! While Cassi is very cautious and first inspects the situation, Luna jumped through the cat flap and runs around, totally excited. Now she zooms around through the snow, storms inside, storms out again and runs around some more. All paw prints are from Luna.

I haven't been watching the Arduino line of boards for some time now and only learned that they have a special model for Matter, the Arduino Nano Matter. As soon as that one arrives here, I'll have a shot with that one. Also trying out Claude AI now just to see if it's any different, or even better.

So apparently things are shifting, eventually. The German Chaos Computer Club and Mark Uwe Kling announced the Digital Independance Day: Every first Sunday of a month we remove one bad service from our lives and replace it by one that does things better and more fair.

All it really does is start at the oldest documentation that isn't valid anymore and then tries to fix the problems that occur from that one after the other. And then comes up with "oh, you are right, this cannot work, so lets do it like this!"

After fiddling the whole frigging day to get the ESP Matter library to do anything useful I am a little fed up with ChatGPT. On the plus side of course is the simple fact that I had been 10x slower with googe-ling it all. On the minus side I get eye-twitches when ChatGPT says: from here on its easy!

Earlier today Cassi was in a deep cuddling mood. I pettet her head and she liked it a whole lot. I laid next to her and the cuddling went on until I put my hand down. She crawled up to it, placed her head on it and fell asleep until I finally had to get up again much later. Quality time 😸🙂

It's getting really cold here. So cold that water from the room condenses at the cat flap and freezes there. Made a plan to solve this with some home automation tricks, involving a temperature sensor, a smart plug and a heating mat. Will take some time for delivery, will report the outcome...
