I had talent in a previous life.
OMF and, indeed, G!

In the office today so I’m having a grown up snack.

If I was trying to make the case that I’m a great lyricist, I wouldn’t evidence this by quoting one of the worst lines from Country House, a song composed almost entirely of worst lines.

GIG UPDATE: English Teacher. Still sounding immense as they move up to more immense venues, and that voice! What a voice! They can only keep rising and they’ll be English Head of Department before long.

It’s great being a grown up!

Also, the claim that Black Box Recorder last performed live in 2009 isn’t technically true, as they “reformed” to do a 3 song set for the encore of a Luke Haines gig in 2018, as evidenced by my terrible photography skills.

This research was mainly carried out by studying Fred Durst during Limp Bizkit’s heyday.

Genuinely think this might be the greatest album artwork of all time.

I mean, Groove Armada will have to bring out Mutya for Song 4 Mutya, right? I would literally riot if they didn’t. And by “literally riot” I mean “complain about it on social media”.

GIG UPDATE: Slime City. Either you will love a band who has a cardboard cut out of Tom
From MySpace on their stage or you are wrong. National records fully achieved.

“You’re not part of the audience” is exactly the mantra all bands should have. Apart from bands like The Last Dinner Party where the audience rises to the band’s level when getting ready for a gig.

I really like this idea as a way of encouraging people to arrive early for gigs and see the support bands. Hooray for the Islington Assembly Hall! (Which is a pretty good venue in general)

Jarvis is moving up in the world.

I can’t explain in words, at least none that I’ve heard, the quality of light around this time of year.

It’s unclear if the buttons on this desk are for moving it up and down or for ad hoc bra adjustments.

I am refusing to acknowledge just how cold it is right now.
November 20, 2025 at 7:50 PM
Genuinely think this might be the most horrifying thing I’ve ever read.

There is literally nothing less punk than this.

GIG UPDATE. Lambrini Girls. Their angry, chaotic, pure punk energy still holds strong as they hit the bigger venues, bringing everything you want and, indeed, need them to bring. And Peaches turned up for Cuntology as well. Hooray!
November 19, 2025 at 11:05 PM
And the support band also had a strong look.

GIG UPDATE: The Space Lady. Very pleased to finally get a chance to see her live. Etherial joy and space age synthy amazingness. Outsider art for the win!

The Guardian likes big bows and it cannot lie.

They were also filming something outside the Tower of London. No idea what, but as it involved a group of striking Santas and a load of old school policemen, all set to go at them with their truncheons in the old school way, it’s clearly something very Christmassy.

London is beginning to look very festive.

Posted the same update on Facebook and it decided to change the T-T as below, which may or may not be an appropriate emoji.
