Trump is using the government shutdown *he caused* as an excuse to fire more federal workers.

Instead of working with Democrats to save healthcare and protect essential services, Republicans are gutting our government so Trump can play king.

The cruelty is the point.

Republicans shut down the government because they don’t want to fix the health care crisis they created.
Their partisan games threaten paychecks, health care, and vital services for millions of families. Here’s what will be impacted: (THREAD 🧵)

This is not a fight about tax credits.

This is a fight over your ability to go to a pharmacy and afford your insulin.

We have the chance to protect the health care of millions of Americans. We need to take it.

Donald Trump and corrupt Republicans recklessly shut down the federal government.

And the American people know it.

Cancel the cuts. Lower the cost. Save Healthcare.

It’s simple: Trump and MAGA Republicans shut down the government to cut your health care. Democrats are fighting to protect your health care and lower costs.

Republicans know that undocumented people can’t enroll in Medicaid coverage. That's the law.

They’re LYING to you to distract you as they kick 15 million people off their health care and raise the cost of YOUR health insurance.

Republicans are making us sicker and poorer.

Donald Trump and Republicans in Congress just shut down the government.

Why? They don’t want to lower your health care costs.
Graphic Copy:
The government just ran out of money.
How’d we get here?
We're in a health care emergency and costs are going up.
Republicans would rather shut down the government than work with democrats to save health care.
Republicans won’t even come to the table to negotiate, and Trump is telling them “don’t bother.”

MAGA Republicans have officially shut down the government.

The harm and chaos this is causing was completely avoidable.

Republicans must end their government shutdown now by passing a budget that protects health care and affirms Congress's power of the purse.

Trump's #MAHA report promised a plan to improve kids’ health. But this new op-ed documents how USDA Secretary Rollins has done the opposite--gutting the very programs that support the farmers who feed our communities and help put fresh, local food on kids’ plates.

Gutting Food Programs Won’t Make Us Healthy
If the Trump Administration truly wants to make children and our food healthier, it must stop dismantling proven programs.

Members of the MAHA movement and rural Americans like myself have been clamoring for real change on pesticides to protect our health. We need those speaking out about these issues to walk the walk.
foeus.bsky.social
Rather than trying to sell the public industry-friendly myths about the EPA, the MAHA Commission should actually fix the flawed pesticide approval process. It serves Trump’s pro-industry agenda instead of America’s children.
foeus.bsky.social
Further, EPA's review process is notoriously industry-friendly. The Trump administration, for example, just appointed a former pro-pesticide lobbyist Kyle Kunkler, to one of the top positions regulating pesticides at the EPA.
