I haven't written or posted much about the experience of seeing the #auroraborealis in May last year, high in the Cascades with a pine-scented breeze blowing. Words fail me and pictures do too- but I'm glad to have tried both.

I don't mind winter but I wish the middle part of autumn, with its half-fallen leaves and glowy evenings lasted just a little longer. This was the very end of October.

I discovered this tree on the UW campus earlier this year and was enchanted by it! I photograph a lot of trees but they rarely come pre-framed!
