There’s a romantic idea that if every neighbourhood grew food, our cities could feed themselves. Why does this idea runs up against land ownership, supermarket power and the way markets are organised, and why small farms alone can’t and won't meet urban need under those conditions?

It passed. Unamended.

❗️NO MORE GROWING UP POOR!❗️We fight for our kids and our communities. We won't be silent while Keir Starmer lies and our Labour MPs hide. Do they think it's right that 1 in 5 kids in the North East live in poverty? That 1 in 5 kids don't get the food they need?

Child poverty in the UK is a crisis. The delay of the National School Breakfast Programme to 2026 is yet another failure. While politicians run for photo ops, grassroots groups like Food & Solidarity demand real change.
