Saw there was a ffxiv fan event in Brooklyn and now I'm looking up greyhound schedules for a day trip back to NYC lol.
I might've not have attended if I still lived there (because I'm a bit cold on the game at the moment), but fomo sure hits different in the suburbs

Judging by the billboards in 5 different states it seems like Personal Injury Lawyers are the only businesses doing well at the moment

Got all achievements for Hades 2 but nowhere near 100%-ing the game. I'm not really enjoying the high fear runs unfortunately, it feels like way too much variance and the early sections of each run take a bit longer than I'd like

Figuring out how to record time lapses in OBS. I thought I recorded the second half of the sketch too, but pausing and putting the computer to sleep messed up the recording

Having your build do enough damage in later zones seems like a much bigger part of Hades 2 than it was in the first game. Feels more roguelike in that respect, lots of instances where runs feel completely hopeless after zone 2

How are people recording painting timelapses in photoshop?
The suggestion I've seen is popping out a new window on a second monitor and having OBS record it while you work, which would give something similar to the built-in procreate tool. Is there a better solution I'm not aware of?

I don't expect ad agencies to be bulwarks for creativity, but pivoting to AI services is just so misguided. It’s like saying there are opportunities to be had because someone’s paying people to dig a 6ft hole and then stand in it.
Freelance illustration gigs drying up. Ad agencies using Midjourney instead of hiring human artists. Costume design turned over to AI wholesale. Good work vanishing.

surprisingly AI didn't kill the design industry by replacing workers, but by being the only companies left with marketing budgets.

If people have any suggestions for stuff that would look good in my painting style, please let me know. Going forward I'm going to diversify my subject matter a bit, probably with more fighting game stuff on top of the FF14 work, but I'm open to exploring other things as well.

Spent a bit more time on this one to explore new techniques and processes. I incorporated Blender into my workflow and used paintovers for the weapons and the background. Some of it is still scuffed but it feels like I'm actually working towards solutions instead of drawing and hoping for the best
