It's kind of wild that crypto scammers became *the single biggest source of political donations* in the last US election and barely anyone even noticed. These dipshits basically own both parties now and are getting whatever they want and there's been zero (0) public deliberation or debate about it.

The crypto sector emerged as a top donor this election cycle, but the ads it funded weren't about digital currencies.

Since the headline spoils it, I'll just say this is an amazing athletic feat, but I love the celebration with his international competitors best, they are so excited for him. It reminds me why we bother to do sports and gives me a tiny bit of hope.

We are shambling towards yet another government shutdown and budget fight. As @kairyssdal has said repeatedly, this is absolutely "the stupidest way to run the world's largest economy."

Among myriad problems with this ruling, can we pause to appreciate the childlike naïveté exhibited by Cavanaugh on the barely-worth-mentioning inconvenience of being detained and interogated by ICE? We are approaching Plessy levels of obtuseness, or feigned obtuseness.

Kavanaugh: Under this Court's precedents, not to mention common sense, those circumstances taken together can constitute at least reasonable suspicion of illegal presence in the United States. Importantly, reasonable suspicion means only that immigration officers may briefly stop the individual and inquire about immigration status. If the person is a U.S. citizen or otherwise lawfully in the United States, that individual will be free to go after the brief encounter. Only if the person is illegally in the United States may the stop lead to further immigration proceedings.

Today I learned that hit-and-run drivers are called "auto pirates" (auto pirate) in Italian. I can't decide whether this is cool or tragic. I suppose it depends on your image of pirates.
