My partner got me a tablet as an early Xmas present so that I could code during my down time. At first I was skeptical but it turned out to be a pretty capable device for my meager webdev needs. The convenience of being able to code and read library books on a small device is pretty compelling.

This little #blaseball -like ticker for the site was surprisingly fun/difficult to code. Here's me trying out an absurdly long string to see if it breaks. It also turns out that I don't remember lyrics as well as I'd like.

I mean... It's funny, but I can't see it carrying a whole plot. It could be a useful tertiary subplot about an actually deadly species that can't be taken seriously because of their silly name who become increasingly frustrated as the main plot progresses
