Chuffed to bits with my vegetarian Christmas Eve feast. It would have been vegan, but you can’t beat a few dollops of Gorgonzola cheese in your risotto.

Personally, the more police I see deployed, the less safe I feel.
I want all Londoners to feel safe over the festive period, which is why there will be increased Met Police patrols in the busiest areas.

Doubling the number of officers in the west end has already contributed to cutting thefts by 25%.

This ferocious, all-out assault on women's rights has been years in the making. They mapped out every sphere where women gained autonomy - education, healthcare, careers, social freedoms - and are systematically targeting each one for destruction.

You can tell Thiebaud truly did worship Morandi.

What a delightful little Wayne Thiebaud exhibition at the Courtauld. Like Cézanne before him, Morandi proved instrumental in inspiring Thiebaud’s sublime still lifes of the mundane.

The majority of job ads for foreign language speakers on LinkedIn are from AI companies who want you to train their model so your skills become entirely redundant. It's a hard pass and a big fu*k you from me.

This such an important point.
Both the Conservatives and Labour have very deliberately chosen Brown faces for their most virulently racist policies. This is a feature not a bug. Every single one of these Brown lemmings to White supremacy is fully aware of what they are doing.

Did a bit of walking and a bit of baking today. I love Autumn, it’s my favourite season. Always has been.

Great piece, thank you.
Johnson is putridly corrupt and has been getting away with murder for way too long. Is there an end to this privilege and impunity? Wouldn’t hold my breath if I were you.
Temerko, a Soviet-born oligarch and a major Conservative donor, told Belton that he and Johnson spent time… plotting the overthrow May. According to Temerko, Johnson had finally been persuaded to back Brexit in 2016 by a group of “eastern European businessmen”.
