I made a li'l cookbook! *After the Feast* suggests ways to use up leftovers from your big turkey dinners.

The PDF is FREE. If you buy a print copy, $2 will support food security initiatives through the Qajuqturvik Community Food Centre.

Please spread the word! 🍗

I've finally put physical copies of my chapbooks in a brick-and-mortar store because my website is broken and I haven't had time to deal with it!

So they're now exclusively available at Audreys Books in Edmonton. Which is an absolutely excellent marketing strategy.

Just seeing this now. Warmest congratulations on being shortlisted, Rob. What a thrill! 💐

Sorry to miss the launch party for The Fiddlehead issue 304, which (I'm still pinching myself) contains an essay I wrote. I'll be downtown at Word Vancouver all day, wishing I could do two things at once. If you're free, the Fiddlehead launch is open to all: www.facebook.com/photo/?fbid=...

I taught the a.m. workshop in the same room as lunch. Crossed paths with you and Michelle but was talking to participants and didn't manage to say hi before catching ferry home. Hope it's a good day for the Darling Axe.

Ditto! Lovely morning for it. ⛴🌞

It was fun. Also tense...even though the pilot was there to take over in a moment if needed.

If Stanley Kubrick were still around, he'd build a movie around that.

Thanks, Indigo Robson, for including "The Broken Places" in this display of fiction set in Vancouver. Thanks, too, to @lisabrideau.bsky.social (whose "Adrift" is set nearby, in Nanaimo) for spotting and photographing!
Photo of a round table in a bookstore. A sign on the table says "Set in Vancouver." A number of books are piled on the table. The most visible are "She's a Lamb!" by Meredith Hambrock, "The Gum Thief" and "JPod" by Douglas Coupland, "The Rise and Fall of Magic Wolf" by Timothy Taylor, "Kill All the Lawyers" by William Deverell, and "The Broken Places" by Frances Peck.

This was an amazing event, folks. I picked up Annalee's "Stories Are Weapons," the book I need to read that I didn't know I needed to read. Thanks, as always, to Iron Dog Books for bringing readers and writers together. 💗

Is your writing blocked? "Getting Unstuck" is the theme of a workshop I'm leading on Sat, Sep 13 (9:30-11:30am), at the Write on Bowen Festival of Readers & Writers.

Cross the ocean to a Pacific island (i.e., hop the ferry to Bowen!) for this inspiring weekend.
