I used to live like this! I once got the Eurostar having arrived at St Pancras 14 minutes before departure. Now I have children, it's several hours and £££ in Pret 😭

Yes! Look I can explain to my children that there's things in 40s/50s Disney that aren't OK any more, but having to go to adult mode and then they see the one big banner for "scary thing with guns" to find eg Lady and the Tramp is hardly any better! It's ridiculous

Seems mad, but as a fan of "crispiness" in fabrics, line drying is the decisive factor, age of clothes is largely irrelevant. If anything, towels get crispier as the fluff is gradually washed away?

I did a degree in French and German and got taught throughout by proper serious linguists. When I learnt Flemish (in BXL) in my twenties, the language school teacher was a former pro footballer! His knees had gone, so he just retrained. Legend. But, ja, hoor, it is not the *most* serious language 😜
