Most of this is worth ignoring. But Biden/Pelosi/Dems just spent four years appointing the most liberal set of judges ever & passing (with bare majorities) the most progressive policies in decades. Ditto the 2024 platform. And yet it's same lazy Narrative™️ that cannot fail (it can only be failed).

I liked Obama. He was a good president. But Biden was a vastly better one, on ~every policy, most esp. on economic policy, & the reason Dems are here, in 2024, is not primarily Biden or temporary inflation. It's a much deeper, longer, uncomfortable story we haven't started discussing yet /end

DHS quit paying for medical care several months ago. I called my Senators and Representatives. Everyone should.

All I was saying is that Murphy was out front on the whole concept of using DHS funding for leverage. Grading on a curve, maybe.
I think I was very clear in saying that not calling for clawing back the funding is a mistake, using historical examples to do so.

Or they could demand abolishment of DHS and that takes care of all of this.

This is the pattern: negotiate fiercely over the next dollar while pretending the last hundred billion doesn't exist. One Big Beautiful Bill Act already bought the car. Everything else is bickering about gas money.
