And it’s not even close!

🚨 BLUF on Republican Ways & Means text: This is nothing short of full repeal of the clean energy incentives that have spurred $400b+ in private-sector investment. This bill will kill 100s of thousands of jobs in construction and manufacturing and raise energy costs for everyone. Full stop.

Rather than focusing on governing & bringing down prices for Americans, dtrump and his Republican cronies have imposed a job-killing tax hike (tariffs) on American families & workers, and have wasted government resources on their obsession with fighting for Homogeneity, Inequality, & Exclusion. Wasteful and in many cases illegal grant and contract terminations by the dtrump Republicans are blatantly politically motivated— what’s worse they’re jacking up energy and food costs on American families, and crashing the U.S. economy while endangering American lives and national security.
DOGE/Musk preferentially cancelled grants and contracts to recipients in counties that voted for Harris in 2024.

Among cancellations with election data available, 92.9% and 86.1% cancelled grants and contracts went to Harris counties, representing 96.6% and 92.4% of total dollar amounts.

If Congress rolls back existing energy saving measures households will see an increase in energy costs of $184/yr in 2030 & $371 in 2035. Many will see much higher cost increases (AZ/CO/NV/NM/TX) which increases of $250-$326/household in 2030. In 2035, CA/OR/WA see increases of >$800/household.
In recent analysis, we estimate how much household energy costs could rise in each state if Congress chooses to roll back key greenhouse gas regulations and repeal the energy tax credits in the IRA. rhg.com/research/the...
