Please share this thread. It is important that political scientists, in Europe and across the world, understand why EPSS exists and why we are encouraging people to attend our inaugural conference, in Belfast next June.

EPSA have announced that they will hold a conference in July 2026.

🚀 I’ve recently joined Centro Nacional de IA as a postdoc and will soon be relocating to 🇨🇱 to start this exciting journey.
I’ll be working on the role of propaganda in elections, combining political communication and computational methods. If you're working on related issues, I’d be glad to connect.

I believe it takes a village to do a PhD and I am greatly indebted to everyone who has been with me throughout these years.

I am extremely happy to announce that I have successfully defended my PhD dissertation. This would not have been possible without the years of supervision by @zsolt.bsky.social.
I am also very grateful for my panel @marikenvelden.bsky.social, Gábor Simonovits & @andrasbozoki.bsky.social

💡 Conservative mainstream parties often adopt far-right immigration rhetoric.
💡 Far-right parties soften their stance slightly in government but revert to radical positions afterward.
💡 This dynamic shifts the entire party system further to the right on immigration.

With a combination of word embeddings and dictionaries we create a liberal-illiberal scale and analyse 67 parties across eight European countries over 15 years.

We analyse how parliamentary and governmental participation of far-right parties influence both their own discourse and that of mainstream parties regarding immigration.

New blog for @crexuio.bsky.social on the German election with a focus on the far right: I highlight AfD's successes throughout Germany, the country's declining east-west divide, and the reasons behind AfD's rise to second force in the German parliament:
