Trumps USA vil ikke engang garantere at komme sine Nato-allierede til undsætning. De sikkerhedsgarantier, Ukraine måtte få fra den kant, er ikke det papir værd, de bliver skrevet på. Vi ved det, de ved det, og værst af alt ved russerne det også.
Udfordringen med sikkerhedsgarantier er, at de skal være troværdige. #Ukraine og Rusland skal tro på, at USA sender hele molevitten for at smide russerne ud på røv og albuer, hvis de angriber igen. Tror de på det? Jeg kan have mine tvivl. Russerne ved måske endda, at det ikke kommer til at ske. 1/4

Die 28 Punkte zeigen, dass die aktuelle US-Regierung bereit ist, ukrainische Souveränität und europäische Sicherheit zu opfern, wenn der Preis stimmt. Das ist mit unserer bisherigen Vorstellung einer verlässlichen transatlantischen Allianz unvereinbar.

Pre-1900, half the population was still working in fields, & even at peak “good middle class manufacturing jobs” in the 1950s, that was only 25% of employment. On this & so many other issues, our contemporary politics are detached from the reality of actual 🇺🇸 history.

BREAKING: ICE is sending Russian dissidents back to Russia. When the dissidents arrived in Russia, the Russian authorities were given documents relating to their asylum applications in the US which under US law are confidential. This seems to be part of a secret agreement between Trump and Putin.
