Hate speech does not belong on RetroAchievements.
Even when disguised as a joke, it normalises real-world hate and harms our community. There is a difference between juvenile humor and outright hate speech. What Pokémon Clover calls humor is hate speech. RetroAchievements will not legitimize bigotry by hosting an achievement set for it.

Content Policy for Achievement Sets
RetroAchievements will no longer approve achievement sets for games that contain:
* Illegal content. Content that is illegal to own or distribute in major jurisdictions.
* Glorified hate speech. Content that intentionally targets individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or other protected characteristics.
* Sexual exploitation. Glorification of sexual assault, non-consensual acts, or child sexual abuse material.
* Extreme or abhorrent content. Content that violates community standards in a way that undermines RetroAchievements’ values.

Games that have been rated by official ratings boards (ESRB, PEGI, or similar organizations) are considered acceptable, as these games have undergone professional content review. The only exception is if a game contains content that is illegal to own or distribute, regardless of its rating status.

Hacks, homebrew, and unlicensed games do not undergo ratings board review and will receive additional scrutiny to ensure compliance with this new policy.

This policy provides guidance, but is not exhaustive. The RA team reserves the right to evaluate games on a case-by-case basis and make determinations in the best interest of maintaining a safe, legal, welcoming, and inclusive community.

The fact 7th dragon imitates that explicitly dungeon crawler style feeling to exploration in a fully third person view, similar to Final Fantasy NES, is just absurdly romantic and engaging for me. And oh god it's SO hard to implement that system and balance it

Despite being one of the progenitors of the genre, Final Fantasy actually breaks a lot of the conventions we've come to associate with jrpgs, argued games journalist Jason Schreier, who credits the game for his career as a games journalist. "The challenge in most jRPGs, if there is any, is customizing and leveling your characters so they're prepared for every battle," h said. "Final fantasy is different. It's more of a dungeon-crawler, forcing the player ot make difficult decisions at every step."
Many jRPGs nowadays shower their players in abilities, items and resources to ensure their experience is linear and always moving forward. Final Fantasy is a harsh game that wants players to work for progress, and each step deeper into the dungeon requires a risk assessment. Do you have the resources in your inventory to push on? How's your magic supply? Are you going to survive if you run into a surprise boss fight?
My personal experience with the game is limited to the 2004 Gam Boy Advance remake, Final Fantasy I & II: Dawn of souls. It's a breezy (perhaps too breezy) version of hte game that removed a lot of the torturous challenge that made the original into such a slog. All my attempts to play the NES original fail after about ten minutes when I select my attacks, only to have one of my characters miss because they're swinging at an enemy that's already dead. Final Fantasy may have helepd build the genre, but it didn't necessarily know how to make it fun - A challenge Sakaguchi and the square team would tackle in earnest when the series debuted in the United States on the Super NES a few years later.

reasons I need to read, write, or assist in writing a book on 7th dragon

dealing with the bloom in 7th dragon NDS was like a religious experience which is as ridiculous as it sounds and considering the only available english patch for it gives the option to remove it I AM MAD AND UNREASONABLE
