I finally watched The Taking of Pelham 123, the Sargent one. I didn’t know that it was such a big influence on Tarantino, Reservoir Dogs specifically - he must have watched it so much that it became a half of his DNA 😂
It took me a few times to finish it but I’m really glad I stuck with it 🤧🤧 😝

More scientific inquiry needs to be done about bullshit. There is so much of it being produced every day that the sheer mass of it transcends the metaphysical into the tangible, kind of like a hygroelectric charge. Maybe it too can be harnessed — into manure, for example & sold to farmers.

A Palestinian activist who helped film the "No Other Land" documentary, Awdah Hathaleen, was shot and killed by an Israeli settler on Monday. Locals identified the killer as Yinon Levi, who was sanctioned by the U.S. and the EU for “regularly leading groups of violent extremists” in the West Bank.

Some people might find this blasphemous but The Age of Innocence is a much better adaption of Edith Wharton’s writing than The House of Mirth. It’s also a superior film on a technical level; the latter looks like it was made for television.
