Have found it hard to switch off this time on our break. Mentally and physically a bit shagged-out. But it's still been lovely to have a wee break with himself. Friday is move day, so things should start to calm down a bit.

When I was holding dad's hand in the hospital the other night, he said he loved the long-tailed tits on my sleeve, as they were his favourite birds. Next day (yesterday), I found this wee LTT clinging to the living room window. It flew off after a rest. I like to think it was a good omen ❤️

I've got dad home at last. He had a last unit of blood late tonight, so I stayed so I could bring him home. He's been more openly vulnerable and accepting of my care than ever in his life. I think he's finally realised that I meant it when I said I *want* to care for him and will.
