So true in the military. When someone says "I didn't get promoted because they're only looking for women/brown skinned people..." They mean, "I can only advance when I'm competing against a third of my cohort."

The reason the US military is having more success recruiting young women than young men has nothing to do with wokeness. Young men can't meet the recruitment standards. On average, they are less educated, less fit, and just not as smart.

Why is it always a surprise that the cheapest way to deal with poverty concerns is to give people money?
Denver gave people experiencing homelessness $1k/month. A year later, nearly half had housing.
They also had fewer ER visits, nights spent in a hospital, and jail stays.
The report estimates that this reduction in public service use SAVED the city $589k.
