The Indiana Senate bill that could lead to a $500 fine/60 days in jail for homeless people who stay on public land passed out of committee today, 8-2. This is the bill from the Cicero Institute that failed last year.

Next up: back to the full Senate for amendments.

Last night, the ILEA voted to recommend to disenfranchise voters & move to an appointed board. The committee was led by the mayor w/ a yes vote by the Supt. The only no vote was a teacher/parent. Speaks volumes.
