Meal planning only works if you actually have the ingredients you planned for.
Tonight's pivot to French fries and Swedish meatballs was met by an enthusiastic "I've had a major craving for fries" from the man who matters most in my life. Dinner success.

Well, my former government employer has not verified my time with them, as requested by background checkers, in two weeks. So that's another of the many issues with firings. Kinda hard to start a new job at the professional level if new employers can't get verification you actually worked as a fed.

You can’t say criminals don’t deserve due process when due process is the thing that decides if they're criminals. Otherwise you're just kidnapping people you don't like.

I don't really care what the "political consequences" are of fighting for the proposition that *everyone* is entitled to due process before they are removed from the United States and sent to a Salvadoran prison.

It's not really a principle if you only adhere to it when it's politically expedient.

Tulsi Gabbard voted in Hawaii last year after declaring under oath she was a Texas resident and claiming a homestead exemption there. This would appear to be (1) a fraud in her loan application, and (2) voter fraud in Hawaii, where she no longer resided.

I'm going to go ride my bike. It'll help clear up some of the disappointment I feel in myself. I know to read my own work before submission. #DangIt

Dear Dems. This is a reminder that Donald Trump rescinded the ethics rules preventing gifts to executive branch employees.

Now would be a good time to propose legislation formalizing the prevention into a law

I have a major job interview this week. I've been prepping and honestly having a weird, "I've done a lot of really crazy work" as I write out these stories. Many of them seem to start with "I had no idea what I was doing" and end with "now a whole team/US Mission/foreign gov't is using my work."
