An innocent man who committed no crime but is the same race as the person who murdered your daughter should have to spend the rest of his life in a concentration camp is the argument?

Anyone debating or analyzing Kilmar Abrego Garcia's life or record is doing a grave disservice.

He could be El Chapo. He could be Charles Manson. He could be the Dalai Lama.

It doesn't matter. What has happened to him and others is clearly a violation of America's core laws and principles.

They’re not “deporting” people, they’re kidnapping them and sending them to foreign prisons. Concentration camps. They’re paying these countries to imprison humans. It’s human trafficking.

Stop calling it deporting, so MAYBE more Americans will get it. "Deporting" is sending someone back, after due process, to the country they came from, where they arrive a free person. This is human trafficking to a foreign torture prison for the rest of their lives. GET THE LANGUAGE RIGHT.

A friend and I put together this spreadsheet tracking those shipped off to El Salvador. We’re thinking it
could be useful pressuring electeds to follow Van Hollen’s lead / shame them. If nothing else, it can be a way of refusing to memory hole these people, which feels worthwhile in itself

“Due Process”= notice of the charges; assistance of counsel; right to confront and cross examine witnesses against you; right to be tired by an impartial judge or if they want to put you in prison, then also to have your guilt decided by a jury of your peers, the right to bail; and to appeal.

Judge Adeel Mangi's story should be major news today. The fact it's barely covered just shows how common and accepted anti-Muslim bigotry has become. Read his letter he published. The right-wing, with some Democrats, helped sink his nomination b/c of ugly anti Muslim smears.
