Six years since we irretrievably and irrevocably changed the course of our lives by paying to watch Cats (2019), an act we are now compelled to repeat on an annual basis for no adequately explored reason

Before I can Christmas, I must first transfer the contents of an arthritic 10+ year old iMac to a new Mac Mini while my anxious elderly father looks on as if I'm performing brain surgery. Difficulty level: I hate Macs and I'm not allowed to drink alcohol 🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡

I genuinely don't mean this as some sort of passive aggressive statement: I really wish I had the lack of fucks to just wear a dressing gown to breakfast at a hotel. (I think there may be a power play at work here as dressing gowns are only standard issue in the premium rooms, but still)

I have brought the Lafufu Jon bought for me for Christmas (after six months of me intensively singing the Labubu theme and related songs) which accidentally turned out to be a genuine Labubu up north with me for festive moral support. His name is Keith

Lol the place I sent a job application to at the weekend could have scheduled the fucking rejection email until after the New Year, merry Christmas to you too (it would have been very difficult if I'd even got an interview, but I enjoyed the brief spot of hope, which lasted all of 48 hours)

While I know LLMs don't have feelings and Grok is one of the more dubious of these products, I feel sort of sorry for it? No matter how much digital Ludovico Technique they do on the poor fucker, reality keeps intruding. Oh well, back to the re-education camp with you for the 50th time Gork

My dad's continued reign of terror sending large greetings cards, putting insufficient postage on them then cursing the Royal Mail when it is inevitably delayed unless the recipient pays up continues. The change to size based charging for mail was brought in in... 2006

Congrats to whoever at work put Slayyy Bells by Denise Welch on my employer's Christmas playlist as soundtrack to our Festive Event (and I thought I was pushing it by adding Santa's Comin' Down the Chimney by Confidence Man)

Apart from being too mental to move job currently, I also find myself unwilling to not have an office within close proximity to my large rowdy sons

My dad is visiting and seems to now be a commited Sheffield United fan, which for a man not known for his command of metaphor seems extremely fucking metaphorical (for some reason, despite foresaking most everything else about the city, I remain an Owl in exile)

Speaking as someone who very occasionally has to write about science diplomacy, I wonder if Pugwash ever regret that in the UK their name more readily brings to mind Cut-Throat Jake and not nuclear disarmament

Having had a taste of this (about 10 years ago a fella passing through our local tube station nearly had his head sawn off with a fucking breadknife) I can categorically say seeing armed plod at the station daily for the following two weeks did not, in fact, reassure me www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

I'm not sure "admire" is the right word but Cologne Airport's apparent quest to find all the possible ways in which it can be shit is certainly relentless, I'll give it that
