You can’t abdicate your responsibility to justice, democracy, and being an adult. None of this works, if you don’t. It takes every grain of sand to build a beach. Every drop of water to fill an ocean. Every adult to uphold the law and democracy. It’s not a spectator sport, it’s your governance. #3E

Almost every week for the past three years I've peeled through a few pages of the epic three-volume C&H set to my oldest before bed. We're ~50 pages from finishing. It's a great parent hack if you want to develop a bedtime routine to look forward to.

Sent to me from a source who took this video yesterday who says LAPD pushed an unhoused person walking in the crosswalk. The fall caused the woman’s head to crack open. LAPD dragged and left her bleeding on the sidewalk, providing no medical care. The person a group of onlookers took her to the ER.

Especially if you're on the fence about it, protest today. Fascism is isolating and lonely. Its very goal is to make you feel like you're the only person unwilling to accept a cult of personality. On days like today you fully realize there are more of us than there are them. You will feel better.

Donald Trump’s termination of Register of Copyrights, Shira Perlmutter, is a brazen, unprecedented power grab with no legal basis.

It's surely no coincidence he acted less than a day after she refused to rubber-stamp Elon Musk’s efforts to mine troves of copyrighted works to train AI models.
