As you fight ICE in your neighborhoods, always look for potentially positive outcomes to counterbalance your anger and despair. For me this continues to be meeting more neighbors, talking to more neighbors, and finding that others close by have also been fighting in ways I was unaware of.

people who long for a Simpler Time Before- when things were better, when the women and the darkies knew their places and *everyone* was happier- are easy to exploit and manipulate.

Pinpointing that time in reality isn't necessary. Like heaven, it doesn't need to exist for people to believe in it.

The goose-stepping is attractive because it removes the need for personal responsibility, gives permission to do violence against your perceived enemies and reduces your world to a binary US (the perfect Elect) & THEM (the subhuman mud people).

It doesn't mean we're safe from the plays being pulled from Hitler's playbook but we do have a thicker social buffer.

Ironically enough, once again, our diversity is our strength on this and most other points. Sadly, it's also where we have structural weak points for the scum to exploit.

Unlike Germany in the the early 1930s, WE have multiple independent cameras on nearly every citizen chronicling actual events and, for now, a means of instant distribution of actual facts.

The USA is not in the emotional social state as post WWI Germany and nowhere near as ethnically homogenous.

Los Angeles didn't burn. Segments of our population were brutally attacked, kidnapped & shipped off to gulags but the city and the majority of its citizens neither saw nor felt it. The attacks were confined.

Zero. American cities are burning. There are ICE attacks and staged photo ops. That's it.
