I checked, and the fairing of a Falcon 9 Heavy was designed to match the capacity of the Space Shuttle.

They're planning to aim it at the deepest part of the Pacific Ocean…something that covers nearly half of the planet.

Myself, I would like to see new modules added to the ISS to replace the old ones. Falcon 9 has dramatically reduced the cost of space, they should take advantage of that.

I've never seen the Beeline edition of that book.

Am I the only one who finds referring to lifesaving immunizations as "jabs" repulsive?

That this is accepting vaccine opponents obnoxious framing?

We had an amazing apartment, the top floor of a 2-flat, 3 bedrooms for $950 a month.

An Indian video store owner friend let us know that a Ukrainian landlord, married to a Filipino, had this place to rent.

Lived there happily for 27 years, a neighborhood of people from all over the world.

I'm 65 years old, and when I was 10, I rode my bike 7 miles to the base of the Channel 5 TV tower.

One of the engineers at the station recognized me from one of the McDonald's commercials my dad recorded there and gave me a ride home.

My childhood was incredibly weird.

Here in Kansas city, I'm on an electric plan where midnight to 6:00 a.m. is 3 cents a kilowatt hour, making overnight charging at home very cheap indeed.

I introduced my late wife to poutine when we traveled to Vancouver to begin her dream Alaskan vacation. She discovered why it's so good…the gravy ensures the fries remain tasty all the way to the very end. Normally, you're left with lukewarm to cold fries at the bottom of the bag.

Hey paris.nyc, I just finished @twit.tv "Intelligent Machines" and loved your positive take on the later Matrix films.

My late wife was a huge fan, and met Lana Wachowski when she was at Chicago's Music Box theater to present Sense8. She started talking to Lana's mom, who introduced them.

Thank you, I miss her every day. The doctors did everything they could to save her from stage 4 small cell lung cancer. One of my doctor friends didn't think she had a month…they gave her 18 and we accomplished her heart's desires, including a concert by her favorite artist and an Alaskan cruise.

18 months fighting stage 4 small cell lung cancer. Chemotherapy was rough, but my late wife thrived on an immunotherapy drug, Atezolizumab.

In 10 years time chemotherapy, radiation & surgery will be viewed like bloodletting and trepanation, and cancer will be a manageable disease like diabetes.

Thank you for bringing up the Transit app on @twit.tv "Macbreak Weekly" @shelly.brisbin.net

I used it today, and was curious if it was accessible for those with low or no vision. I wish they were more active here on BlueSky.

I can confirm that they have responded to my corrections about Chicago.

Best approach I've ever encountered for a band or musician to protect themselves from avaricious forces of the music business. From Dave Stewart's autobiography "Sweet Dreams Are Made of This: A Life In Music"

2 managers auditing each other to get that last 5%.

There's somebody on his team who *really* hates him.

Deep loathing.

We're talking, "Whoever did Jennifer Lopez's hair for the 2002 Oscars" kind of hatred.

Listening to @twit.tv "Macbreak Weekly" even though I own no Apple products other than a couple of broken laptops.

No, I'm there for Andy's @ihnatko.bsky.social cultural deep cuts, like VHS tape rewinders shaped like sports cars!

They had a later book, "Holy Terror: The Fundamentalist War on America's Freedoms in Religion, Politics, and Our Private Lives". This is the edition I own, although they had an updated paperback edition a few years later.

Sometimes I get emotional at the sheer decency exemplified by Terry's writing. "I do not wish to see good people get turned into bad people by doing a murder."

I've installed security systems. None have used tapes since the late 90s…all record to hard drive, and none of them stop at midnight to "change tapes".

All the cameras record unless someone has deliberately turned them off or damaged them.

The thing about their lying is how bad they are at it.

The first film my late wife of 41 years and I ever saw together it was David Lynch's "The Elephant Man", and we were sharing a box of Kleenex together by the end. Until her last day, she said that that was how she knew we were destined for each other.
