This past month I've been doing some physical sketches every day. One surprising benefit was that I managed to get a scalie headshape I quite like. So based on that I then tried drawing a certain species idea I've had for a long time digitally. Far from perfect, but I really feel like I'm on my way

This is something I made nearly two years ago. I should do more blender stuff, but I'm spotty in doing any of my hobbies. This has probably actually been where I've peaked so far in terms of blender, anytime I go back I'm having to relearn a bit xP. I will do more someday though

A final commemoration of completing BG3. Really the city would owe the whole party an entire set of statues but hey these two deserve the first ;p.
Now I'm considering if I can insert Yavatru into my own worldbuilding projects lol. It might be a fun challenge to "disentangle" her from the BG3 lore.

closely copying a friend's work (hi th3pooka.bsky.social) to learn how to get into actual model making and rigging in blender, and I still end up with random issues (he's been a great help though). I'm trying to just learn by forcing myself to do it even though I know the final model won't be good

I made these a while back, originally intending to work on them more, but never got around to it. So instead I'll just send them here in a technically-WIP state. The second one was probably finalised enough tbh but the other two, especially the bedroom/fireplace scene, I wanted to work more on.

"Where do you get your reference photos?"
While I'm sure there are a number of sites where you can collect reference, a good archive is built up over TIME by saving any image that you think may be useful at a later date.
Variety is the key. Ignore stuff that has become familiar.
